Community Food Pantry

Val-Co Industries and Blue Ball Church of the Brethren have partnered together to create the Blue Ball Community Food Pantry!

The concept for the food pantry began several years ago within Val-Co’s Stewardship Committee. The idea continued to develop after a conversation between two neighbors, one from Val-Co, and one from the church who each shared the desire to help others in

the community. Thus, the partnership was formed with Val-Co responsible for designing and building the structure, and the church agreeing to take responsibility for managing the food pantry. Patience was needed as Covid delayed the process, but finally, the week of Christmas, the outdoor structure was placed and stocked with items ready to bless the community and to help battle food insecurity. It can now be easily accessed in the church parking lot and will remain open at all times.

The community is invited to be a part of this ministry in two ways.

First of all, anyone in need is invited to take what they can use.

No charge, no strings attached!

And second of all, the community is invited to share what they are able to help keep this pantry stocked.  There is a bin behind the pantry that food donations can be placed in.

Neighbors can help neighbors by sharing non-perishable food, hygiene, or paper products appropriate for seasonal temperatures.
